I believe God brings human beings into existence with a purpose: to be salt and light to the world, live in obedience to Him, serve Him, bring the Gospel of Salvation to the lost, build up the Body of Christ, and, in general, be a blessing to all we encounter in this short life we have on earth. To help us conform to this spiritual paradigm, He elects some of His servants - a few - as Forerunners, to light the way and be for us examples of how we ought to live, love, and serve. I believe Tony was (and is) one of these.

In memory of my good friend, Tony Chong Tony was a great friend to me. He challenged me again and again,to venture outside of my comfort zone, still does after he was gone, by being just the usual , secured person that he was so notoriously famous for! He also saw beyond the obvious spoken words and responded in God-sent ways that went far above peopleโ€™s imagination! And in his gentle way,he always managed to open up possibilities for healing and restoration! I think ,by his sudden, abrupt departure, he did another move to demonstrate what it is really like to be on Godโ€™s Seal Team ! Hats off! "Muscling Up" All my best battles are ahead, Uncomplicated joy reigns, I have lived one full life, But now my best life is coming to meet me, I am ready for the fight, Because joy relishes your might, I am muscling up for larger conflict, Happy in Your warrior's spirit Yeah, God!

Uncle Tony started me on my journey into Holy Spirit. I think like the 2nd time I met him in my whole life, even though he had been married to my aunt, he baptized me in the Holy Spirit. Maybe a HS sneak attack. But I will always remember how well Tony and Tina's ministry blended scripture and sense with the supernatural and the powerful love Jesus. They were the first to explain to a hard-headed teenager Holy Spirit to me, and point out things that I had missed totally growing up in the church. It was a turning point in my own life. Not mention that they would go on to transform my whole family, being Holy Spirit and God's mouth piece to bring us freedom from depression, performance and the spirit of poverty. As everyone had said at Tony's memorial, Tony didn't just preach it. He lived it. A life abundant. I remember him quoting to me, John 10:10 and pointing that out in our first sozo. That is the first I heard of Father's heart that way. It was not "do some good and I will begrudgingly let you into heaven," but that Jesus wanted us to have abundant life. Tony lived generosity, abundance, and giving and ministering and love, in all of those small things: wine galore, prime rib dinners over Christmas, watching the beegees with my dad, drinking whiskey.... In the end those small things and him living a life of faith in his adoption by Father God that ended up mattering the most. To me, Tony (and his family) will be the first to have demonstrated true Sonship of the kingdom of God to me.

I am very thankful for your kindness and generosity that I lived with your family for about 10 months. I treasure those sweet memories and fellowships. You are a great father to your children, your wife, and people around you; especially you extended your hands to care for someone like me. Thank you Brother , I love you and miss you. I give thanks to God for you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you right now. I loved Tonyโ€™s fun loving, generous, incredibly hospitable heart. To be in their home and share meals together was always an extravagant moment of great fellowship and great food. My memories bring such a smile. Tonyโ€™s commitment to Jesus, to live and walk by a faith that was unshakeable and to lay ones life down to help others find healing and wholeness was exemplary. He will be missed by many.
